How to get a place in the Marathon

Through the organiser’s Public Ballot

The official 2023 TCS London Marathon ballot will open in the autumn of 2022. Results will be announced later in 2022. Visit the London Marathon website for up to date information on how to enter.

If you are successful in the Public Ballot, you can join our team straight away, running on your own place. If unsuccessful in the ballot, you can apply for a charity place, see below.

Apply for a Brain Research UK charity place

We have charity places in the 2023 TCS London Marathon. To apply, please complete our application form early so we know you are interested!

If you've applied through the Public Ballot, you don't need to wait until you know the outcome, the sooner you get in touch, the better!

We will consider a range of factors when allocating our places, including personal reasons for taking part, fundraising targets and the date that you applied.
