How to take part

Step 2

Claim your FREE t-shirt by filling in the web form (you can find this on the pinned post when you join our Facebook group!).

Step 3

Set up your Facebook fundraiser.

Step 4

Complete your challenge. Remember to use an app on your smart phone to track your distance and log it in your distance tracker sheet (this will be included in your welcome pack!).

Step 5

Get your finisher’s certificate! ☺


The Challenge

Would I be able to run/jog 100 miles instead of walking?

Absolutely! We want this to be a fun and challenging activity for you. If you’d like to run or jog, or even combine different activities, then we’d be happy for you to do so.

How do I get my free t-shirt?

You will need to join our Facebook group, follow the link in the pinned welcome post, and then fill out your details on the form. Please remember to click on the ‘create your Facebook fundraiser’ button at the end to receive your free t-shirt.  

How do I get my t-shirt switched for another size?  

If you would like to switch your t-shirt size, please email us at

Please note: We will not be able to guarantee that your replacement t-shirt will arrive before the beginning of your challenge.  

Who do I contact if my t-shirt hasn’t arrived yet?

We are a small team and we’d like to make sure that you receive your free t-shirt as soon as possible. You should receive it in the post within 7-10 working days after filling out the form.

If your t-shirt has not arrived within this time frame, please email with your full name, postal address and preferred t-shirt size. Thank you for your patience.

How do I track my distance?  

We would recommend downloading a free app like Strava on your phone. You can write down your daily miles using our distance tracker sheet which will be included in your welcome pack along with your free t-shirt.

The Fundraising

How do I set up my Facebook fundraiser?

When you join our Facebook group, you will find a pinned post with a link to register for your free t-shirt. After you fill in your details, there will be a button to set up your fundraiser at the end.

How can my friends and family donate if they don’t have Facebook?

We understand that not everyone has a Facebook page. We would advise that they send the donation directly to you, and then you can donate on your own page.

If you would prefer not to use Facebook, then you can set up a page on JustGiving and select Brain Research UK as the recipient charity.

Where do the donations go?

Great news!  We receive 100% of all donations made through Facebook. We fund research to reduce the impact of neurological conditions, to help people live better, longer. Find out more about the work we fund
