27,000 runners flock to Portugal’s capital every year for the EDP Lisbon Half Marathon and Vodafone 10k, creating a festival of sport and making this Portugal’s biggest running event
The Lisbon Half Marathon is a festival of sport, and Portugal’s biggest running event! The race attracts athletes from all walks of life and at a range of ability levels, from elites to first time runners.
The course follows the shores of the River Tagus, with an unforgettable start crossing the impressive 25 de Abril bridge and a finish overlooked by the Mosteiro dos Jerónimos monument.

Please note that filling in an application form doesn’t guarantee you a place in this event, as Brain Research UK has a limited number of places in the Lisbon Half Marathon. We will consider a range of factors when allocating our places: personal reasons for taking part, fundraising targets and plans, as well as the order that applicants have applied in.
