On two beautiful summer evenings in June, we held our fourth Opera at Syon event.

Guests enjoyed two magnificent performances by the renowned Diva Opera Company, of Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro’ and Donizetti’s ‘Don Pasquale’, on the 11thand 12th June respectively, together with a champagne reception and sumptuous picnic dinner in the wonderful setting of the Great Conservatory Syon Park, Brentford.

The skilful and eloquent auctioneer, Adrian Biddell, hosted an auction on both days. There were some superb items on offer that included: beautiful jewellery designed by Nada Le Cavelier, a weekend at Churburg Castle in Italy, a week’s use of a four-bedroom apartment in the Swiss resort Klosters, and 3 magnums of the very finest Chateau Pichon Longueville, Comtesse de Lalande Vintage 2000.

We are very grateful to our Trustee, Professor Kevin Talbot, who joined us and who together with committee member Dr Susana Ingram, spoke so well emphasising the urgent need to fund more neurological research,

Our heartfelt thanks go to the members of the Opera at Syon Committee not only for their continued much-valued support and generosity, but also to their guests and auctioneer Adrian for making these evenings so very special and helping to raise over £130,000 over the two nights.
